Four people were arrested Tuesday after an undercover “buy-bust” operation by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, and the subsequent execution of a search warrant at a nearby Homosassa residence.

The CCSO said that the sheriff’s office’s Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) concluded the multifaceted narcotic investigation by initiating a buy-bust operation and then a subsequent search warrant of the residence.

The targets of this investigation were Nicole Cash and Issac Edwards. The CCSO said Edwards is a 22-time convicted felon.

The couple were suspected of trafficking in methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.  After the conclusion of the buy-bust operation, a search warrant was served at 6941 West Crosbeck Court in Homosassa.

After the SWAT team secured the scene, detectives searched the residence and property, and found:

  • 54.1 grams of heroin
  • 48.2 grams of methamphetamine
  • 17.35 grams of fentanyl
  • 89.26 grams of cannabis
  • $6,785.00 US Currency

Edwards, already on felony probation and having an active warrant for the principal of a narcotic sale and a writ for child support, was also charged with:

  • Trafficking in methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in fentanyl
  • Trafficking in heroin
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (cocaine)
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (hydrocodone)
  • Possession of marijuana over 20 grams
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Renting, leasing, owning a drug dwelling

Cash, who already had five active Citrus County warrants related to the undercover buy operations, was charged with:

  • Trafficking in methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in fentanyl
  • Sale of heroin
  • Unlawful use of a two-way device
  • Possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

During this investigation, undercover detectives were able to purchase a total of 3.6 grams of heroin, 22.2 grams of methamphetamine, and 13.8 grams of fentanyl from Nicole Cash. Investigators followed the flow of narcotics to Issac Edwards and the residence at Crosbeck Court, Homosassa.

Located at the residence was the homeowner David Sinclair, who was charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, and also the renting, leasing, and/or owning a drug dwelling. Also inside the home at the time of this investigation was Mariah Jouvert, who was charged with possession of the controlled substance fentanyl, possession of marijuana under 20grams and possession of paraphernalia.

“This is an excellent example of our agency’s dedication to the eradication of illegal drugs off the streets of Citrus County,” said Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “The dedicated men and women of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office saved countless lives today by removing this poison from our streets.”

This investigation was made possible by the intelligence gathered through the agency’s Intelligence-Led Policing methods, and with the community’s support, the CCSO said.
