Universal Garbage Collection – Part 2
The Citrus County Commission has “restarted the clock” by agreeing to look at what some have called “universal garbage collection,” a term whose definition varies, depending on who is speaking. The commission voted 4-1 to look at various methods to make waste more manageable. Commissioner Jimmie T. Smith dissented, saying he was not in favor of franchising the county’s waste stream.
