BOCC votes 3-2 to not take out digital NY Times subscription

In Citrus County, Florida, county commissioners have voted 3-2 to not take out a digital subscription for the New York Times, but to keep the printed version of the paper instead.

County officials’ during the board’s Oct. 24 meeting drew fire when the paper was alleged to have said the  the paper has been writing “fake news.”

Suspect flees Crystal River traffic stop, injures deputies, motorist

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Crystal River man who is alleged to have fled a traffic stop and injured two deputies and a fellow motorist.

The CCSO said that at about  5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 39-year-old John Travis Wilson of Crystal River was arrested after he is said to have fled from a traffic stop in the vicinity of the Sunoco gas station on the corner of State Road 44 and Crede Avenue in Crystal River.

USDA Invests in the Expansion of Rural Education and Health Care Access

WASHINGTON, Nov. 20, 2019 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Donald “DJ” LaVoy today announced that USDA is investing $42.5 million in 133 distance learning and telemedicine projects (PDF, 238 KB) in 37 states and two U.S. territories.
