County knits EMS into fire rescue division
The Board of County Commissioners affirmed yesterday that providing timely, dependable and fiscally responsible Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was paramount to the citizens of Citrus County.
The Board, as a result, voted to end their partnership with Nature Coast EMS and transition these responsibilities to Citrus County Fire Rescue.

Citrus County opens 2 self-serve sandbag sites
Due to ongoing flooding concerns, Citrus County today opened two self-serve sandbag sites.
The sites are at Citronelle Park at 7826 W Dunklin Road in Dunnellon, and at Spruce Drive Boat Ramp at 4863 E Spruce Drive, also in Dunnellon, near State Road 200.
