Crystal River Pirates make their mark on softball
1 min readThis was their year as the Crystal River High School “Pirates” girls’ softball team earned second place in the Class 6A State Softball Championship Game.
The Pirates finished the season 20-7 with the second Final Four appearance in school history, and first trip to the title game.
Pirates Head Coach Deon Copeland said “We came together, fought to the end and I’m very proud to be a part of this team.”
Also congratulating the team was the Citrus County Commission, who passed a proclamation declaring June 10, 2019, as Crystal River Pirates Day in Citrus County.
