Drugs found in home with 3-month-old

Deputies on Thursday found drugs inside of a home where a couple and their 3-month-old child were living in at 9318 N. Travis Drive in Citrus Springs.

The discovery came after the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office’s Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) served a search warrant at the home.

Man sets off Floral City car alarms, blacks out and then can’t be revived

An unidentified man in Floral City dies after setting off car alarms and then blacking out

Earlier this morning, Citrus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to several calls in Floral City concerning a suspicions person setting off car alarms in a residential area.

The subject was reported to be under the influence of an unknown substance and trespassing on several properties within the neighborhood.

No injuries were reported after a Bushnell man is said to have stolen a vehicle and then led deputies in a wild chase through Inverness and Floral City before eventually crashing in Sumter County.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that the Florida Highway Patrol took 22-year-old Travis Lovett into custody following a severe vehicle crash there.

Lovett led Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies on an extensive chase throughout the area of Inverness and Floral City, the CCSO said.
