Federal face mask requirement for Citrus County transit services to take effect – Citrus Times

Federal face mask requirement for Citrus County transit services to take effect

Citrus County Transit Services will begin enforcing a federally mandated mask requirement beginning Feb. 2.

This action is to further prevent spread of the virus that causes COVID-19 and to further support state and local health authorities, transportation partners, and conveyance operators to keep passengers, employees, and communities safe.

All Transit Services passengers and employees, including drivers, will be required to wear masks when boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel. Signage outlining the requirements will be placed on all buses.

In addition to mask wearing, drivers will continue to sanitize the seats and handrails of the buses after every pick-up and drop off.

For more information, contact Citrus County Transit Services at (352) 527-7630.
