BOCC’s meeting over EMS ‘failings’ ends with angry words

Tempers flared on Feb. 13 at the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting.

The BOCC is not satisfied that the Nature Coast EMS (NCEMS) is providing quality ambulance service in the county.

The meeting ended as the NCEMS lawyer attempted to speak, but was subsequently asked to sit down (February 13, 2020).

  1. Just viewed the conversation between Mr. Coleman and the attorney representing Nature Coast EMS. Mr. Coleman ,you seem to forget that any and all information presented is important. It is not to be judged by whether you personally agree or disagree with its content. The attorney was treated very disrespectful and was not permitted her right to speak and present her input to the board. We live in a democracy not a dictatorship. When you Mr. Coleman refuse to hear another person or their representatives concerns ,it speaks volumes as to your ability or attitude in serving the needs of the citizens who hired you to do a job fairly, completely. If you are not capable of doing your job without bringing your own personal agenda to the table than it’s time for you to step aside.
