The Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association honored Woodard & Curran’s Water Reclamation Facility in Inverness, during their annual award luncheon in Fort Pierce Florida this August.
The facility uses a state-of-the-art Biological Nitrogen Removal process to treat up to 1 million gallons of wastewater daily. This allows the facility to produce, on average, 600,000 gallons of reclaimed water every day, which is then pumped through a three-and-a-half-mile pipe to be used for irrigation at the Inverness Golf and Country Club.
Inverness’s Water Reclamation Facility has a long track record of safety excellence. This year marks the fourth consecutive year the facility has received this award from the FW&PCOA and in August of 2017 the facility recorded its 2,666th consecutive day without a lost time incident.
