Deputies looking for bank robbery suspect

The BB&T bank at U.S.19 and South Venable in Crystal River was robbed at about 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The suspect went into the bank and demanded money from the teller. He fled on foot, and possibly got into the vehicle pictured below.

He is described as a white male in his late 20’s or early 30’s who, at the time of the robbery, was wearing dark pants, black hoodie and a black ball cap and sunglasses. He was last seen running toward Beall’s Department Store in Crystal River.

He is believed to have gotten away in a heavily tinted black car (see photo below).
