Inverness Sertoma in need of used hearing aids

Rainer Jakob, Inverness Sertoma Club Ambassador poses with one of the club’s Used Hearing Aid Drop-Off Canisters, as part of the SHARP (Sertoma Hearing Aid Recycling Program).

The Inverness Sertoma Club would like to remind community members that the club has Drop Off Canisters at local establishments in the area.

  • Dad & Lad Barbershop, next to Sportsman Bowling Lane on SR 41, Inverness; Gracies Goodies, 9940 E. Gulf to Lake Hwy. Inverness, and
  • Touch of Glass by Susan, 6040 S Florida Ave, Floral City.

If a Drop-Off location is not convenient please contact Club Ambassador Rainer Jakob at;, who can provide a tax deduction form and you will receive a “ Thank You  Card “ from the Speech & Hearing Foundation.

Your donated hearing aids will be cleaned, tested and refurbished for someone that can’t afford to purchase new hearing aids. Thank you to everyone who has donated in the past and helped us help others. When emptied this past May, there were 38 pairs of hearing aids placed in the Drop-Off Cannisters.

The Inverness Club prides itself on keeping the dollars local and helping where we can, not to mention the work done to provide funding for free audiology screenings for infants and children. Requests come in year-round and club members are always willing to help.

And don’t forget to join Inverness Sertoman Mark Avery Tournament Chair for the November 24, 2019 “Golf for Kids” Tournament fundraiser at Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club, the Oaks Course.
