Marion County transfers attempted murder suspect to Citrus

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has transferred to Citrus County an An Inverness man who is also wanted on attempted murder charges in Hernando County.

Kyle Lee Chunn, 22, Chunn, who faces multiple charges in multiple counties, was arrested in Belleview in May, along with Kenneth Roy Stewart, 21, of 5140 S.E. 110 St., Belleview.

Stewart and Chunn were said to be involved of an Ocala residence, and some of the stolen property was found, authorities said, at Stewart’s Belleview home. Chunn was also charged with burglaries elsewhere in multiple counties.

The attempted murder charges were filed against Chunn, after he was said to have shot at two men shortly before 2 a.m. on May 21 at Brookhaven Apartments, according to Brooksville police. He later fled on foot after a traffic stop.

At the time of the shootings, Chunn was accompanied by Lacie Nicole Swan, 19, who was subsequently arrested.

In Citrus County, Chunn was charged with grand theft (from $300 to $5,000), lewd and lascivious battery on a person 12 to 16 years of age and violation of probation for robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery..
