April 4, 2014 marks the date of the American Cancer Society’s popular Relay For Life of Inverness/Lecanto.
The event promises to be an exciting evening of live entertainment, fundraising and remembrance.
The “Lights, Camera, Relay!” themed event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Citrus High School football field on Friday, April 4 and continue for 18 hours to symbolize the fact that cancer doesn’t sleep.
During the event, participants will celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, remember friends and loved ones who lost the battle and fight back against the disease.
The committee hopes to raise $130,000 through donations. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are still available.
